The Louisville Cardinals took on the Creighton Bluejays in the first round of the 2025 NCAA tournament, and it was a thrilling matchup. Creighton came out on top with a score of 89-75. Creighton’s Jamiya Neal had a standout performance, scoring a career-high 29 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Steven Ashworth also had a strong game, with 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Louisville’s Chucky Hepburn and Terrence Edwards Jr. combined for 43 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Creighton’s strong shooting. The Bluejays shot 11-24 from three-point range and held Louisville to just 33.8% shooting from beyond the arc. With this win, Creighton advances to the next round, where they’ll face the overall No. 1 seeded Auburn Tigers on Saturday.
