The Cards (6-13, 1-7 ACC) struggled resulting in a loss to No. 12 Duke on Tuesday, 1/23 at the KFC Yum! Center.
UofL Head coach Kenny Payne believes the Cards showed growth at times but need to improve on communication on the court and anticipating plays from their opponents. “Time and score is critical, especially with a team that is better than a top 15, more like a top 10 team,” Coach Payne stated. “Their skilled, they are talented and have great players, so in order to beat them, we can’t shoot ourselves in the foot.”
UofL Cardinal forward Brandon Huntley- Hatfield paced Louisville with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
UofL Cardinal guard Mike James amassed 13 points while guard Skyy Clark matched points.
Next up on the Cardinals schedule is Virginia at the KFC Yum! Center at 12 pm on 1/27.
