The Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team secured a convincing 89-61 victory over the Northern Kentucky Norse in their home opener at the KFC Yum! Center. Taj Roberts led the charge, scoring a game-high 23 points, including 17 in the second half.
Roberts tied her career-high with an impressive 10-for-16 shooting from the field, including three three-pointers. Her dominant performance was a key factor in Louisville’s success. Reyna Scott added 13 points off the bench, showcasing her scoring prowess.

The Cardinals trailed by only three points at halftime but pulled away in the second half, outscoring Northern Kentucky 54-29. Northern Kentucky’s Struggles
Despite a strong start, the Norse struggled to keep pace with Louisville’s high-powered offense. Kamora Morgan led Northern Kentucky with 13 points, but the team’s shooting percentage was a major concern. They managed to hit only 11 of 36 shots from the field in the second half.
