The University of Louisville women’s volleyball team showcased their dominance in an electrifying victory over Stanford University at Freedom Hall, cementing their position as one of the nation’s top programs headed to the Final Four. The highly anticipated matchup pitted two volleyball powerhouses against each other, with the Cardinals emerging victorious in a thrilling contest.
The Cardinals were led by standout performances from their star players, including explosive outside hitter Anna Debeer with 15 kills and a commanding presence at the net by their middle blocker Phekran Kong. While Charitie Luper amassed 13 kills, Elle Glock and Nayelis Cabello orchestrated a masterful offense, keeping Stanford’s defense on its heels throughout the match.
The win marked a significant milestone for Louisville as they continued their ascent as a premier volleyball program. Their victory also reflected their growth under head coach Dani Busboom Kelly, whose leadership and strategic approach have consistently propelled the team to national prominence.
Louisville will face Pittsburgh Thursday, December 19th at the KFC Yum! center. Time is TBD.
