The Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team took on the Winthrop Eagles last night, November 22, 2024, at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The Cardinals came out on top with a 76-61 victory. Reyne Smith led the Cardinals with a season-high 20 points, shooting 5-9 from 3-point territory. James Scott and J’Vonne Hadley also had notable performances, with Scott scoring 12 points and Hadley contributing 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. The Cardinals had a strong defensive game, holding the Eagles to 61 points. They also blocked 10 shots, their most in a game without a blocked shot by the opponent since 1991.
Up next, the Cards travel to the Bahamas to play in the Battle4Atlantis. They will face IU in the opening round at 12pm EST, November 27, 2024 on ESPN.
