Louisville Women’s basketball downed #12 Notre Dame in a dominating win 73-66 Thursday night at the KFC Yum! Center, improving to 13-0 at home this season. Keke Jefferson popped off 8 points and 5 rbs keeping the Cards at a steady lead. Jayda Curry hit a clutch three in the 3rd quarter further creating a score gap against the Irish 47-37 with four minutes left in the quarter.
Nyla Harris brought energy and intensity down low allowing the Cards to disrupt Notre Dame’s defense. Harris reached a career high of 19 pts and 10 rebounds positioning the Cards for victory. Starting the Cards defense at the three point line kept Notre Dame on their heels. UofL clearly were the aggressors in tonight’s duel.
Former Card and current Chicago Sky dynamo Dana Evan’s came out in support of the Cards.
Angel McCoughtry worked with Adidas to design the new uniforms and shoes the ladies wore for the game.
